In order to withdraw your funds after our security systems intervene in the event of a transaction to an outside address, you must set a withdrawal address. This withdrawal address has the ability to retrieve the funds that are being held in the vault.
Setting a withdrawal address will cost gas.
You can only withdraw recovered tokens from Harpie using a wallet you own. A withdrawal address can be a smart contract compatible multisig or a newly created Metamask wallet or anything in between.
Verify that you can access the wallet associated with the withdrawal address and that you have sufficient backups for it (i.e. seed phrase or private key backed up). As a rule of thumb: use a withdrawal address that is different from your connected wallet. Read more about best practices.
You can initialize a withdrawal address when withdrawing an asset during the recovery process.
In the recovery process you will be asked to send your assets to another wallet then the one that is associated with your account. You will be asked to set a withdrawal address if not is not already set.
When you set your withdrawal address, it will show a modal that looks like the image below. Enter a wallet address which you trust to receive your recovered assets.
Now you can continue with the recovery process. You can always change the withdrawal address from your Security Dashboard during the recovery process.
After entering a valid address, accept the transaction that appears on your wallet provider. Follow the instructions in the modal to finish your setup and continue to withdraw your recovered assets.
